Edu-tainment: Fun and Engaging Lessons

In September, Dali on the Fly Art Mobile visited Azalea Elementary, where Ms. Tanczos held her art classes. The Art Mobile allows students to participate in a unique field trip experience without leaving school grounds. For the last few decades, the Art Mobile has visited every elementary school where around 10,000 K-5 students get teacher-led docent-style tours per school year. For this exciting student experience, The Dali Museum has carefully curated artwork inspired by dreams, math, and science, providing a rich opportunity to examine how the artist integrated these subjects into his art.

On September 13th our amazing 5th graders planned out International Dot Day Activities! Dot Day is based the book "The Dot" by Peter H. Reynolds. International Dot Day is a global celebration of creativity, courage, and collaboration. Fifth grade students ran 3 different activity stations; Tie Dye Dot art, Dot Candy Structures, and Dot Paint dots that were used to make a beautiful mural!
